Cascade DTP V4
The default background (page) colour is white. This can be changed by clicking Background on the menu bar so as to launch the Background dialog. Tip: If a very dark background colour is chosen the borders of text and image boxes may become invisible. Therefore, if a dark background is required, consider applying this after all other page composition tasks have been completed.

An image can also be selected for use as a page background. To do this click Background (menu bar) and select the desired option from within the Background Image frame. Choose the desired image by clicking Open File to launch the file dialog. Only files with .gif and .jpg extensions will be listed.

The background image will not be visible within Cascade - you must click Preview (menu bar), or press function key F12, to see the effect in your web browser. Note that if the image does not cover the whole of the page (this will normally be the case if you have selected an option other than Image repeated horizontally and vertically) you can also set the page background colour to a shade other than white by clicking Background Color.
